Ilfracombe Holiday Park, is going through a huge transformation. The current owners took over the running of the resort last summer, and have made sweeping changes to the apartments, including new beds throughout.

The venue has been updated and modernised, with a brand new restaurant. This is just the beginning of a transformation that will take several years. One of the main priorities of the new style park is the building back of relations between the park and local people.

General manager Natasha lives in Ilfracombe and has the drive and passion to move the park forward and build local relationships. All the staff are on board with the vision, the improvement to the park and its facilities are very much focused of making the park a hub of local activity.

They have a large sports hall, soft play, pool, sauna, restaurant and bar, all open to locals. They have local swimming clubs already using the pool, and after school clubs starting in September. They have a crèche and children’s club for all during the summer, which has been very well supported.

The park are also running events from September until May. Richard Silver and international award nominee John Forster have put together an amazing series of events including Ilfracombe’s first Country Music Festival as well as bringing Wrestling, Boxing and Darts to Ilfracombe.

They are also organising music festivals, locals weekends, an LGBT weekend, Halloween Ball and Beer Festival. There will also be the excellent Legends of Rock weekend, which is always very popular.

These are done with locals very much in mind. To show their support to the local community, the park also sponsored the Round Table Birdman event this August.
